Lexicographic Center \u201cGeorgi Stardelov\u201d<\/h2>\n

The \u201cGeorgi Stardelov\u201d Lexicographic Center, a scientific unit of the Academy, was established on September 28, 2000.<\/p>\n

The Center prepares and publishes encyclopedic, bibliographic, terminological and other lexicographic editions, and develops a database on Macedonian culture and art.<\/p>\n

Numerous projects concerning the discovery, study and systematization of individual areas of Macedonian culture and art have been carried out within the Center. The Center prepared and published the\u00a0Macedonian Encyclopedia<\/em>\u00a0(in 2 volumes), which presents the historical and contemporary entirety of Macedonian civilization.<\/p>\n

The Center is working on two long-term research projects of fundamental importance. The first is the preparation of\u00a0Macedonian Scientific and Professional Terminology<\/em>, whose ultimate objective is to prepare final lexicographic editions based on the working terminological materials published in the Bulletin\u00a0Macedonian Terminology<\/em>, of which 113 issues have been published to date. The second is the work on the macro-project\u00a0History of the Culture of Macedonia<\/em>\u00a0which examines the overall material and spiritual culture on the territory of Macedonia from prehistory to the present day. The research results have so far been published in 23 books.<\/p>\n

At the \u201cGeorgi Stardelov\u201d Lexicographic Center, in addition to a large number of external associates, one research assistant, one junior research assistant and one technical secretary are permanently engaged.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
