International Cooperation

The Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts has established cooperation with a large number of academies worldwide: the Austrian Academy of Sciences, Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia, Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republika Srpska, Academy of Sciences of Albania, British Academy, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Leibniz Society of Sciences in Berlin, Estonian Academy of Sciences, European Academy of Sciences and Arts, National Research Council of Italy, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Academy of Sciences and Arts of Kosovo, Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities, Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts, Royal Society of London, National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Polish Academy of Sciences, Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences, Romanian Academy, Russian Academy of Sciences, Slovak Academy of Sciences, Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Turkish Academy of Sciences, Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts, and Czech Academy of Sciences.
The agreements concluded for inter-academy scientific cooperation provide for collaboration on joint research projects, participation in scientific meetings and artistic events, study visits, and the exchange of scientific experience, publications and other information.
The Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts is a full member of the European Federation of Academies of Sciences and Humanities (ALLEA), the International Union of Academies (UAI), the Mediterranean Academy, the InterAcademy Partnership (IAP), the International Council for Science (ICSU), the Inter-Academy Council for Southeast Europe, and the Conference of Academies of the Danube Region.
In addition to the academies with which formal scientific cooperation agreements have been established, the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts communicates and exchanges views and experience on matters of mutual interest with other foreign academies and international scientific organizations.
